MS 1st deadline…check!

December 2nd, 2011 by under Uncategorized. No Comments.

As you may know, the first deadline for the MS program was yesterday.  Our office has been pleasantly surprised by the volume!  We did see an uptake in applications (statistics still not final), so we expect our office to be busy over the next few days (and weeks!).

It looks like a fairly well established assembly line here.  Picture this: someone is opening envelopes, someone is stamping dates on the documents, and someone is filing!  It sounds so simple, yet it can get quite complicated when you are dealing with cabinets filled with folders!

So, if you submitted your application, we appreciate your patience.  If you haven’t yet…what are you waiting for?!?!?

DeWalt’s recruiting style

November 4th, 2011 by under Full-Time MBA, Part-Time MBA. No Comments.

DeWalt visits our campus to recruit students on a regular basis.  This year, their recruiting style includes hands-on use of various tools and machines.  They set up camp right out side of Van Munching Hall and invited students to stop by, drop off a resume, play with their tools, and talk to recruiters.  Their non-traditional set up was quite inviting!  Pretty cool, DeWalt…pretty cool!

QR Codes…next big thing???

June 16th, 2011 by under Full-Time MBA, MSB Programs, Part-Time MBA, Uncategorized. No Comments.

There’s been much discussion here in the Admissions Office about about QR codes.  For those who do not know what QR codes are, they are small boxes with dots/cubes in it (total about 1 inch square) that are scanned by mobile devices.  Once scanned, the code essentially serves as a barcode and redirects someone to a website or a video.  If you need a visual…simply google “QR Codes”.

We are looking forward to using this and maximizing its potential.  So, what are your thoughts on this?  What would you like to see a QR code direct your mobile device to?  We are in the brainstorming and executing stages and would love to hear what you think!
