The Internship Search

Once you enter the MBA program you will quickly find out that the most important thing that you have to do is obtain a summer internship. Initially the process seem’s  to be a very stressful one, but the University of Maryland Office of Career Services team are there to help you every step of the way. Through their interviewing workshops, one on ones, and their career strength finder surveys, the OCS team works very hard to give students the tools that they need to obtain an internship.

The University of Maryland Smith School of Business  has developed strong relationships with many notable companies. These relationships are beneficial for students because many of those same companies recruit for MBA internships on campus. This is great because it gives students an opportunity to get right in front of hiring managers. As students, you also have access to an internal site that the OCS team posts MBA summer internships. This is an extremely helpful resource for those students who may not know where to start their search. This site is updated almost every day and you can have your account set up so that you get alerts sent to your email so you don’t miss a thing!

The access to all of these resources really elevates the stress of searching for internships. Through the support of your career coach and all of the OCS resources, you really have nothing to fear when looking for an internship!
