Ask Julie: Submitting for a GMAT/GRE Waiver
I think I would be a good candidate for the GMAT/GRE waiver, but I’m not sure. Can I email you my background for you to review and tell me whether I can get the GMAT requirement waived?
Out of all the emails I receive and the questions I am asked, this is one that I see the most often. As of February 2016, there is potential to have the GMAT/GRE requirement waived for the Part Time MBA program. Waivers may be considered if an applicant has demonstrated excellent quantitative, analytical and verbal skills through academic records and/or a successful career trajectory.
If you feel that you would be a good candidate for a GMAT/GRE waiver, you must submit a complete application and waiver request. Please note: in order for the admissions committee to review your waiver request, all sections of the application must be complete.
You do not have to wait until a deadline, as the applications committee will review waiver requests on a rolling basis. Once they have determined whether your request has been granted, they will contact you as soon as possible so that you can study and take the GMAT or GRE to complete your application if your waiver is not approved.
