DIT Announced Plan for Migration from Blackboard to Canvas

To ensure a smooth transition from Blackboard to Canvas, the Learning Technologies staff in the Division of Information Technology is working with Canvas to move your course content from the past two years in which they were taught to the new system. This process will be done in phases.
The first phase will move content from courses taught in the Winter 2011, Spring 2011, Winter 2012, and Spring 2012 terms. The second phase will move content from all organizational and non-term spaces. The third will move content from courses taught in the Summer 2011 and Summer 2012 terms. The final phase will move course content from courses taught in the Fall 2010, Fall 2011, and Fall 2012 terms.
For each phase, dedicated support will be available to assist affected faculty members with rebuilding their course spaces in Canvas. All faculty members may, however, choose to move course content themselves at any time after October 15, 2012 and will be able to receive support from Learning Technologies.
