2019 Heartland Labor Capital Strategies (LCS) Fellowship
November 26, 2018 – Rolling Applications Begin.  Deadline – February 1, 2019 | Georgetown University
The Fellowship serves business, economics, labor, law and other students from various universities and its mission is to (1) accelerate the next generation of responsible investors and capital stewards, and (2) create a diverse talent pipeline for the financial sector. The LCS is an 8-week paid fellowship ($5,000) for the summer with capital strategy teams in responsible investment and impact funds, unions or NGOs; the stipend covers the cost of living in DC, NYC or other communities;

The LCS empowers students to gain hands-on experience working with progressive change organizations that manage or influence “workers’ capital” (pension and impact investment funds) or that organize shareholder campaigns;

The LCS provides a range of experiences–from investing in affordable housing, ethical businesses and renewable energy projects–to supporting corporate governance campaigns–to aiding in communications work for union capital strategies staff.
