Planes, trains, and two feet

This semester is my first time leaving the US, and with comes the urge to travel. Of course I want to see everything and go everywhere: the main cities and the small random towns. But I’ve quickly come to realize 18 weeks isn’t enough time to do that (duh).

I’m only halfway through October but it is quickly becoming my travel month. So far abroad I have traveled around the Netherlands, and parts of Belgium, Ireland, England, and Italy. Up next is Malta and Paris. I’m exhausted but the thrill of the new places keeps me going.

Is it London without afternoon tea?

Travelling as a student on a budget has its ups and downs. I have blisters because walking is cheaper and easier than figuring out public transport. And I slept in the Zurich airport twice in one week. But I thrive on self-guided walking tours I find online and street food-which is as authentic as you can get. It’s cool to meet other travelers along the way and hear their stories. I’m excited to see where else I will travel in the upcoming months while still exploring Amsterdam.
