My first two weeks in Copenhagen revolved around the two orientation programs planned by the school. The Copenhagen Business School(CBS) encourages students to arrive early, and in my case that meant arriving over two weeks before the start of classes. The school arranged for a Danish language crash course during the day and various social events at night. The crash course, though interesting left me with little to no grasp of the language. I can currently say hello and thank you. Sadly,  I still struggled to pronounce my own address.

The events at night included bowling, comedy nights, Danish folk dancing, and everything in between. Events that seemed boring or outside student’s comfort zone quickly became cant miss events, with the schools offer of $1 beers. Each event provided an opportunity to meet new people and embrace Danish culture. These events put into perspective how diverse the students at CBS are. Within my first week I met students from Bulgaria, Australia, Taiwan, and many more countries.

Howdy everyone! My name is Roger and I am a junior majoring in Finance. I am excited to spend 5 months in Copenhagen at the Copenhagen School of Business. I have been looking forward to this semester for awhile and cannot wait to share my experiences!
