Passport… Check!… Wait…
All documentation about European Delivery programs state that you need to have a valid US Passport. I didn’t think much of it because I own a valid US Passport that does not expire until 2012.
I asked my husband to give me my passport so I know where it is and can send a copy of it to Audi before the trip. After looking at it, I realized “OH CRAP! The passport has my maiden name on it!” I used it back in 2007 when I went to Germany and it wasn’t an issue because I would carry my marriage certificate as proof name change. But I have a feeling that it might not work when picking up a car in Germany.
I guess it’s time to get my name changed on my passport. The worst part is that I have to pay for the entire renewal passport fee plus expedite fee to get my name changed on the passport before the trip. If I had done it 1 year after I have gotten married, it would have been free.
