Smith celebrates the holidays with gingerbread homes
Happy holidays from Smith! Students, faculty and staff celebrated the end of the year with some good old-fashioned fun: making gingerbread homes.
It was a nice way to show off our creativity and take a break from studying for those final exams.
I was truly impressed with everyone’s creations. It was tempting to eat the gingerbread homes (and trains) after they were made, but I don’t think that is what professors have in mind when they talk about the power of “disruption.”
Janna Fernandez’s gingerbread home was the most memorable because she made a home that resembles those found in her native homeland of Guam. She is pictured smiling alongside her creation in the slideshow.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. As a “double Terp” it was fun dusting off the photography skills that I learned at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
